I hope I fight alot of Vulcan Space Marines with my Dark Eldar!

I predict that I will win! But failling that, the dual lash/9 oblit list has a really strong presence in the finals.

I predict that I'm heading out to the bunker to help with rules judging, and hope to meet up with other dakkaites for beers after the event. Anyone else?

Mech dark eldar will win
Tau will get 2nd

This will lead to a ton of people claiming DE are overpowered. In turn forcing GW to put out a new codex for them. It will subsequently be even more OP than the current one.

Tau will get 2nd and people will pass it off as dumb luck and continue to sell off their 50 fire warriors armies to buy orks.

We're heading over to a nearby Irish Pub after the event for music, alcohol and shepards pie!

I can't say that with a straight face.

Seriously though, Battlewagon orks.

I would like to revise my prediction.

I predict gardeth wins with DE and then sends some of his prizes to timmah for the pre tournament confidence boost.

Given the state of the game, I'd predict some mech list.

Given the unknown scenarios...

...I'd predict Squats take it all.

(also, looking forward to meeting some Dakkaites post-tourney!)

Mech DE work nicely in 3rd, 4th, and 5th editions because the army list has no gimmicks or reliance on special rules, just pure killy with raiders and their squads. Just hope none of the KP missions offer 3kp for dedicated transports or they dont go up against toughness 4 horde armies.

Probably between:

DE
SM
CSM
IG

Ok that 3kp per dedicated transport thing isn't even funny! But as for the t4 horde armies, been there done that and beat that (just takes some creative CCs). I more worried about some IG player that decides to show of his forge world collection by bringing 9 hydras .

Not DE for sure. I don't see IG winning all three games. So CSM, daemons or SM. I really doubt SM can pull it off. Mechdar FTW.

Ah yes, the old 'good players bringing hard armies to play other good players has no bearing whatsoever on what armies are good' argument. Makes sense to me.

What he means is that given the special scenarios and rules in the ard boyz, then armies that are good in ard boyz are not necessarily good in normal play
