Ok, so, I put some stikkbombs on a few of my nobs, but not on all of them. First of all they are kinda pointless on PKs, but secondly, they only cost one point.

However, the nob entry says "The entire mob may take stikkbombs" so does that mean if one Nob has them, then every nob has to buy them?

Yes, they all must have them or none may have them.

They're pretty pointless if you have a Klaw as main 'urty stuff in the mob, but I did hear of one use. If you don't want to destroy an enemy walker in your turn, attack it with grenades.

Actually, can you even choose to use a grenade if you have a special CCW?

Sure?
The only restrction listed is that models must be equiped with them - as I read it.

Well, that and they use their own profile and deny bonuus attacks - getting only one shot. If that counts.

I'd assume so. GW seems to assume it too, unless all those SM characters with special CCWs carry Krak grenades just for show. And ofc... my Jump Pack Canoness would be pretty upset at not being allowed to use Melta Bombs while carrying a Blessed Weapon. The right tool for the right job and all that.

One could ofc argue that a grenade is a second special CCW.

You could argue this, and be wrong. It's a piece of wargear that fills a specific task, (either assault, defense, or anti-vehicle).

Unless you would agree that a Rosarius could also be a special CCW, and that I can beat your special characters to death with it

A Rosarius is not used as a weapon. A Grenade against a vehicle is.

True, I was trying to find a silly example.

Regardless though, a vehicle-oriented grenade specifically only allows ONE attack against a vehicle, while the other grenade types do not add attacks in any way whatsoever.

All grenades can be used against Vehicles. Page 63, even Defensive Grenades can be used.

Quite possibly! I am used to playing Tau, so EMP Grenades for vehicles, or Photon for infantry...

Exactly. But if someone argues that I have to use my Power Sword (and not hurt the vehicle at all) when I carry grenades capable of blowing it to Mars... I might as well argue that the grenade counts as a second Special CCW when assaulting a vehicle so I get a choice. ;-)

In that case it would be totally irrelevant. If you have a non-special CCW and catagorized the Grenade as a Special CCW, then it could be argued to give additional attacks...etc. For all intents and purposes, they are not CCW.
