Been thinking what to put here since I signed up to dakka as I'm pretty useless at these sorts of threads so decided on just the boring stuff
I started playing
GW games 20 years ago, stopped around the time 3rd ed was due for
40k and had a brief dabble in 4th ed. Had a lot of armies over the years, avid eldar player and love painting and converting even though I'm very out of practice with it. Played a lot of specialist games and WFB and getting back into
40k and fantasy just now.
Love roleplaying games though even after 7 years in England since moving here from Scotland still feel a stranger in a strange land and dont know many people to get back to pen and paper games with.
Came across dakka and a few other sites for
GW games nosing around after dusting off some eldar to sit and paint again when I stopped playing world of warcraft as a boredom filler (anyone else think it went way downhill with WotLK?
)
Very opinionated where
GW are concerned and think maybe they should listen to the people playing their games but know they wont until suddenly their income takes a huge nose dive. Think ebay is one of the best things the net has brought us as well as groups for hobbies like Dakka
Currently repainting an Iyanden army as no longer have 2 friends playing ulthwe armies (my armies were always guardian and psyker heavy might as well go with the fluff) and have shelved a
DA army as I think their codex is poor :(. Works in progress aside from the eldar repaint is getting the current range os aspect warriors and the odd other bit of eldar for my collection of them and a chaos army for fantasy together. Side project in
40k is orks where I'm working on a 1k list from models I still have from years back.
Look forward to getting to know people on the site, and the heated debates over rules, models and so on
