Thought I'd lob this one at the learned scholars of Dakka - how do WG split from their unit with regards to KP's?

I believe that a WG as a Pack Leader is to all intents and purposes part of that unit, and so will give up a kill point only when he and his unit are destroyed. A unit of Wolf Guard would function as an entirely separate unit, and so give up a separate point when they die. This is all based on the old SW Codex. Is this generally agreed upon, or have I missed something?

If the Wolf guard is an IC then he'll give up a KP seperately. If he's part of the unit and unable to leave then the entire unit will need to be wiped before giving up the KP.

Not read the specific text of the puppy 'dex so I don't know whether they are IC's or not?

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

They count as an Upgrade Character as they cannot leave the squad and are never an IC. You make the decision at deploymentbut are stuck from that point onwards.
