OK, here is a question for all you smart people

For whatever reason, a LR needs to fire it's battle cannon at a target which is within 12" of the LR. You roll the scatter dice and happen to scatter back onto the LR. The brb states something like, choose the side of the target vehicle that is facing shooting vehicle to determine the AV... So in this case, would the AV be 14 that you would roll against to see the penetration roll?

Yes it can.

In this case you measure from the gun to the closest point of the hull. A Front mounted weapons would hit the front, and a Side Mounted weapon will hit the side (unless the hole is off the vehicle).

In the Case of the Leman Russ Turret, it is ambiguous and you have to work it out yourself.

Also I think you mean 9", as 12" away cannot scatter back to hit you.

I had assumed this was obvious given the context of the nature of the existence of the thread
