10 boys (nob w/pk, bosspole. bigshoota. Truck) - 140

10 boys (rokkit launcha) - 70

20 boys (2 big shootas) – 130

18 shoota boys (nob w/bosspole. big shoota) – 128

Fast Attack

3 warbikers (nob w/pk, bosspole) – 115

3 Deffkoptas (3 rokkit launchas, big bomm, buzz saw) – 175

Heavy Support

Deff Dread (2 big shootas) – 85

Deff Dread (2 big shootas) – 85

Big Squiggoth - 50

TOTAL - 1498

I've done 2 games so far, 1 loss and 1 victory. The loss was against chaos and the victory against regular space marines. Both fun games but my army does seem to lack a certain punch......

Any tips?

Hey!

A lot of your squads seem incomplete. I think your spreading your points around a bit too much.

Id also get something big and shooty. I use a looted wagon with a boom gun but you could try putting some 'bigger bangs' on your Deff Dreads.

Ive never used a Squiggoth. Whats it like?

Sounds bigger than the points suggest!

Full on, Full on!

What? I don't see that in my codex...

"Each must find their own way. If those in our heartland had witnessed the savageries of the void as have we they would know this. The hand of each of the great starfarers is turned against the other; none will join their strength together just to to see their ancient enemies prosper. Neither should we."

It was a White Dwarf option, but from quite some time ago...

My advice:
Drop an Elite mob.
Drop a Fast attack or a dredd.
Get some Lootas!
Bunch some boyz together into bigger mobz, and make sure they all have a Nob (PK, BP)

I refuse to enter a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.

No, there are more recent rules in Forge World's Imperial Armour Update book - it's so cheap in points that oponents are normally willing to face it. So far it has performed as a transport for my tankbusters and as a tank killer in assault - it works nicely: strength 7 + 2d6 (monsterous creature).

Thanks for the suggestions! Much appreciated.
