Hey all, I got the Space Hulk box the Saturday before it released. I unwrapped, clipped, and punched out everything.
Got a couple plays in. Love it BTW. Then I had to leave it alone for a couple weeks.

Got back to it the other day, and as we played we noticed a lot of the tiles are bowing.
Especially the small crossroads tiles.

Anybody else having this issue?

This could be a local thing from humidity, but I wanted to see if anyone else had encountered this.

I have opened mine about 2 weeks ago, and kept it open. No warping noted.

No warping on mine, though to be fair I have a pretty strong de-humidifier running at all times in my game room.

A couple of tiles and the mission board have warped for me. After a bout of "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOs and WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYs" I moved the box to a much colder room and accepted my losses.

CURSE THE WARP!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Hold on you get new improved Space Hulk tiles, and you complain when you find they have been subjected to the warp. That was value for money quality!

Sheesh, there is no pleasing some people!

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Maybe a little warp but not noticable while playing.

Wow... that is REALLY strange.. the new tiles warping... I haven't had a problem with mine... and yeah, with their construction I think it would be REAL hard for them to warp... have to be some pretty harsh conditions..

Maybe its the thicker tiles than the old editions making the tile edges more of a sponge?
Mine are okay so far.... not tempting fate...

Maybe re-pressing them may help. Piece of hardboard either side to protect the piece and be firm enough, then put them in a book-press or DIY-vice or under something very heavy.

Might not help but also could work good. As long as the pieces are well protected and the weight isnt the size of a car (squash tiles) I would imagine nothing to loose trying it.

Hope it works out

Well, the warping wasn't extreme, but it was noticeable. I can live with it.

I have Doom and all the Descent boxes, and with much thinner tiles, never had any warping.

And they were left in a friend's humid basement for months.

I left mine on the table (first mission map) and the rooms have noticebly bowed (but not enough to hinder play).

Mine warped when I traveled with them by air. I was able to bend them back with minimal effort and will probably store them under some books for a week to get them back to normal.
