quick question(and a poll). I am a new WOC player(my forces are still in shrink wrap) and I was thinking of playing some chosen, but the metal figures are a huge sink dollar wise, glancing over at the Daemon section I spotted the Lesser Daemons and couldn't help but be tempted to use them for count as Chosen. so would it be acceptable to play a Squad of Bloodletters counting as Chosen of Khorne, or Daemonettes counting as Chosen of Slanesh?

just curious to see what the rest of DakkaDakka thinks, personally I see it as bringing a new look to the army, giving it somethingthat stands out from the other WOC armies around.but then again I am a 40k player, so I have no Idea if this legal game wise or not.

Just buy some regular Chaos Warriors and convert them with either the new Chaos Knight heads or just giving them a very lavish paint scheme.

You can make Chosen out of regular Chaos Warriors. Hell, last army book that's exactly how you made them. Just use them.

Other than that? Teutogen Guard were great for themed armies after some conversion work... but are stupid-expensive now. Most of the figure ranges are too small or lightly armored to portray a Chosen outside a heavily converted army.

Well, simply because:

They're too light armored to look like chosen. Plus, all you have to do is a little conversion work to make some chosen.

If you converted some regular Warrior guys with Bloodletter heads, that'd be acceptable. But just proxying the Bletters for chosen forever is not cricket.

Yeah, I accidentally voted "no", but I misinterpreted and thought you meant "using lesser daemons for heralds". In that case, I'm finding it lacking imagination and creativity, even more than just painting red warriors and giving them the knights' lances (no offence, though). But I agree with Khornholio, the BL heads could be a nice touch, eventhough I'm wondering if you can fit those decently.

Quick idea here, ok, its expensive still, but not as bad

Use the letters swords on the standard warriors, maybe use a letter head for the unit champ.
Could even use all letter heads on them
Just shows how dedicate dthey are to reach daemonhood.

I voted 'No'. It doesn't properly represent them and in my opinion just plain lazy but its your army.

But the Blood Letter heads on Warriors bodies seems good but the heads seem a bit small. I'll test the idea out later and tell you how it goes.

Use warrior bodies with Daemon heads!
