Its the fourth time the codex has been issued hence the fourth edition codex. It has nothing to do with which rules edition we are in.

It is the third Codex, not the fourth. They did not get one in fourth edition, and there were no Codices in Rogue Trader. There is no `fourth edition' of any Codex in the game.

They are based on the rule edition, not the codex edition. Malf just made a simple error.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

Normally codices are given the edition of the game that they are released in. There are execeptions, Dark Eldar and Dark Angels, for example who got re-written books in 3rd edition, unlike Space Wolves and Orks. So they would have the "Second Third Edition Book," and the "Original/ Old Third Edition Book".

I mean that is how _I_ do it anyway.
