4 hq choices and 3 elites in a 2000 point army... what would be the best way to max out the points per each character to make it only afew characters marching down the battlefield in a dramatic and fearless manner to eat some xenos

Well firstly you need troops, so that means Logan for Wolf Guard Terminators. in 2000 points you can fit Logan, 2 WGT Squads, 2 LRC and a pack of Long Fangs, so I suppose if you Drop the LRC and Long Fangs you could fit in some more HQ's.

Don't Expect to win ever though.

Troops, although they might seem crappy, are way more important in 5th then they might have been before. So it might be cool, but I probably wouldn't try it under 2500 points. If you can fit around 3-4 Troops into that army though go for it.

Wolf lord with runic armor, thunder hammer, storm shield, thunderwolf mount, 2 wolves, wolftooth necklace, and saga of warrior born

Wolf lord with runic armor, frost blade, storm shield, thunderwolf mount, 2 wolves, wolftooth necklace, and saga of beast slayer

Lone wolf with 2x thunder hammer 2x wolves

lone wolf with thunder hammer and storm shield and 2xwolves

lone wolf with frost blade and storm shield and 2x wolves

wolf guard x5 on bikes w/4 frost blades and a power fist

wolf guard x5 with jump packs and power weapons


no it won't win but it'll be epic and manly!

You really only need to win in Tournaments anyway, as long as it's fun to use it's alright for the other games. Just don't get annoyed when you run out of scoring units in Objective games. Easy way to solve that is to just agree on the KP mission with your opponent.

one wolf lord is at t5 s6 and 12 inch charge.....demolishers can only do so much during a turn

basically everyone i play with(besides the necron player) craves KP missions
