I have read a few Chaos Dwarf posts over the last few days. Anyone know a good place for their fluff? Are they in any novels or does anyone have a PDF of their old codex?

The end of the novel Grudgebearer has several pages detailing battle with Chaos Dwarfs. It's pretty interesting, and mentions a Kollossus, Immortals, and how all their war-machines are demonic engines along the same vein as the Hellcannon. Worth a read.

The more stuff of theirs that you read the cooler they seem. Is there some kind of petition that I can sign to have them brought back?

If your looking for the Chaos dwarf rules search "chaos dwarf pdf" or "Chaos dwarf Army list" and it will be at the top. Its the current(est) one for them I believe.

I have started a few threads about them recently as I hope they will be my get back into fantasy army (although at the moment I stuck for a practical way to make an entire army), for Chaos Dwarf information lexicanum is ok. It hasn't got loads of information but from what I can find they havent had much focus in the game.

They are a vey cool race and are a lot less see through than others.

Hmm I think I agree, I like the tall hats but the face masks are definately more evil.

I really hope they bring chaos dwarves back and there have been a few good signs, e.g. increased appearances in fluff, and hellcannon being in WOC list. Unfortunately knowing GW they will standardise one of the most colourful armies but anyway, guess we will have to wait and see.

Chaos Dwarf players should just have some kind of conference. Hammer out a reasonable army book, get some good sculptors and put together a few good models at three up size, write up some good fluff and then sell it all to GW for $1. Or some kind of petition/ online pledge to buy a battalion box if they release it. Maybe with some guaranteed sales their appetites would be whet.

I agree, GW really should have noticed that there is a lot of intrest in Chaos Dwarves, but then we are only the customers so our opinions don't really matter.

There is already a good starter out there for the fluff we just need some with Chaos Dwarves as the focus.

As for the models i'm in the of the planning stage of making then casting some Chaos Dwarf models. By the end I hope to have made enough molds to make an entire army with a reasonable amount of weapon options. So I think other people could do similar. Although models are important, IMHO the rules would make the most difference

Of course GW will chase me down for hersey if they notice im not using their models at a GW store but I just hope no one notices the face masks and curly beards.

It's worth noting that some of the Warmongers Club members headed up an effort to create a new Army Book that is being accepted for use with some IGTs. Not official, but an interesting community effort.

I'll go look for a link and edit it in to this post later, gotta run right now.

If they found out, yes they would probably claim copyright. Thats why althought I aim for my models to look compatible with the hellcannon crew they will be my own. Unfortunately GW like to show off their muscles by complaing at everyone even if they havent done anything wrong, so you need to be carefull when casting anything related to GW.

I think I have seen that half official armybook, either that or something similar. Theres a list which is starting to be accepted at tournaments sponsored by GW so it's getting quite close to being accepted.

Personaly I cant understand why GW dont give Chaos dwarves a small release. There is obviusly the interest for it. They could easily make a PDf army book and they already have something to base the models on.

Something akin to what they did with the Blood Angels in 40k. A PDF codex, a character model here or there, badda-bing. Hell, they already have a base for the body (from the Hell Cannon) they could just make up a few weapon options, give them some kind of hook to separate them from regular Dwarves (lower ld. but ItP etc) and there ya go.

I guess we have to get behind Dark Eldar and Stunt players though.
