Contemplating one of those grab-bags.

On one hand, it's really luck of the draw, both for what you get, and the quality of what you get, being composed partly of miscasts and all. But on the other hand, these are KD randoms, meaning you're bound to get something good anyway, and these are KD miscasts, which means they're probably neater than most finished models.

In for gold, I would wish kickstarter aspirants take notice on this and what Cthulhu wars actually did and the last two days create a "get everything" pledge, the only reason I didn't pledge for this was I could not figure out what I needed to buy the information was overwhelming, no surprise the reason I a backed Cthulhu wars was the fact they created a "get everything" pledge at the last days.

I suppose this additional delay isn't too surprising - though it is disappointing!

Q2 2014 most likely means June 2014 too...

He's going to catch some heat, but the quality of the plastic miniatures - wow!

He's really raising the bar for...just about everyone else now!

Everyone's going to want in at WGF too now - if they weren't already!

You've got to love the good news/bad news announcement that we'll be able to add more stuff on to our pledges sometime next year!

Good news - this stuff looks really, really good - and even though I already bought just about everything...I'm sure there's more I'd like to add on now!

Bad news - there goes more money to Adam and Company!

He actually spoke to it in the KS. He still expects to deliver in March, but he's pushing the Q2 In the event that something takes longer than it should. If everything hits the present deadlines with no problems, it's March. If there are any QC issues, it'll slip.

gak happens and stuff. :-)

I think it is safe to say Q1 at the earliest for the US and most certainly Q2 for rest of world. But, he made a good point, better to ship RoW when it's all there instead of piecemeal. I just hope CMON doesn't feth this up.

CMON is not involved in any of it so we are OK from that perspective

I just got in the Survivor level from the Black Friday sale, and am more on board than I thought possible! I could not have been less interested in the style when I dipped into the Kickstarter a couple of times while it was running, but I now see that those must have been especially "pinup-heavy" phases. It was really almost 2 different Kickstarters - one to develop a boardgame, another to develop a line of pinup collectibles, and it was a phenomenally successful approach.

The base game actually looks quite reasonable - far more of a genuine survival horror than I was getting from the models alone. And looking back through the updates, the level of communication and passion Adam has is near-unmatched in any Kickstarters I've come across! Only a little miffed that I missed out on the Latern Festival expansion (which seems to be a crucial part of the story), as it looks like this will never actually hit retail, right?

Welcome to the bandwaon- it's been a pretty fun ride and will be awesome even if it's half as good as it looks.

I must've missed that part... We can add more stuff? That is just awesome and terrifying at the same time. This is the most I've ever spent on dollies...

I am a bit worried about the EU fulfillment... So it's no longer a certainty that we won't have to pay customs? Or did I misunderstand?

I think you might have made the right choice...maybe?

KD stuff is hella-expensive...

The only reason I was able to go big on it was I was somehow a bit flush with surplus money last year.

Definitely not the case this year...

There was never a promise of EU fulfillment only that he'd look into it and do what he could in this regard but if doesn't pan out it wasn't part of the actual KS - I have €160 put aside for import taxes if I don't have to pay it bonus but if I get charged I'm prepared for that to.

I don't think I'll sneak this one past customs but his last update seems to imply it will be declared for customs purposes at the pledge level value only.

Originally it looked as if we would have to pay VAT, etc although Adam had said he'd be looking at options to avoid us having to do so as long as they could afford to do it (and he found an EU fulfilment partner he'd trust to do the work)

this latest update gives me hope that he's found a way

As long as the game itself once it hits retail is not as difficult to get as his regular showing of minis, I'll be okay with missing out on the kickstarter and this Black Friday sale.

I don't even really care about all of the fancy add-ons that littered this kickstarter, I've just been extremely impressed with the showing of minis and the game itself sounds fantastic.

I do recall it was never on the table to begin with...

Yes, I guess I jumped the gun on that one a bit I was remembering this as a bit more definitive and a bit easier on the wallet That's why I was a bit confused with the latest update. Damn you selective memory.

It does make a surprisingly large difference, at least in the UK! Last I checked it was:

- 20% of the total (VAT)
- an additional amount of "duty" if the amount exceeds £135 (which even the basic survivor level does once postage is factored in), ranging from 5-50%.
- a flat £8 (~$14) handling fee.

Which at the most conservative level would be $264 for the $155 pledge!

Starting to see why retailers charge so much over here - although if this isn't ever hitting retail, I still think it's more efficient to get everything in one package.

Wow - you 'win' this one then, as I think that's the most I've heard of anyone pledging on this one... and maybe every other miniatures based KS campaign I've been a part of too!

I wanted everything in resin. . Having seen the recent pictures of the new plastics I am very glad I did. The quality is nowhere near the same. Not bad, just not as good.
