Subject: Nurgle Daemon Weapon oversight?

There's a rule under poison that states if the strength is the same as the toughness you get to reroll. For the most part, most things with poison have no strength or are strength 1, so the rule doesn't come into play very often. However, a nurgle lord is strength 4, so that means against toughness 4 or lower, you would always wound on a 4+ with rerolls. Against toughness 5+ you just wound on a 4+. Actually seems pretty good...
People are fond of their Daemon princes, but I think this isn't bad either.

Customers ask me what army I play in 40k. Wrong Question. The only army I've never played is orks.

Knowing is half the battle. But it is only half. Execution...application...performance...now that is the other half.

It's not an oversight.
Most people who participate in a discussion about Daemon Weapons will prob. rank the Nurgle one up top for most efficient for points/kill ratio.
Daemon Princes are IMO superior for other reasons besides killyness.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

well magic me up a Chaos space marine army with a chaos daemons character in it and i'll own you with my Imperial guard army led by a Warboss and a ogrynn retinue
Plaguebringer, you either get to wound tough crap like MC's on 4's, or you have a lightning claw. with + d6 attacks. Imo the only DW better is the bloodfeeder, and thats in the GEQ killing situation

Personaly, im a fan of the bloodfeeder, because i often pass my 5+ invunerable saves...
and to the OP, the very point of poison is that kind of thing.
How about he Great Unclean Ones of Chaos Daemons? posinoed on a 2+ bu still Str6 4 atacks, no saves. Its just that poisoned weapons Kick ass

When you call an intimate moment with your partner "the Assault Phase"
Is that followed by a pile-in move?
That brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hit and Run"
Can that be following a deep strike, or do you have to wait until the next round? |
