I've been playing around with an 'All Scouts' list for quite a while now. How do you think something along these lines would work? One of the H2H units would be broken into combat squads and transported by the 2 Storms. The rest would be deployed normally. Thoughts?

It seems pretty vicious if you ask me.
My friend plays lists like that, and my only strat to beat him was a ton of boyz, so rending doesn't really matter, and with infiltrate and scout, they are already closer to them.
Then he got smart and tried keeping them toward his table edge, good thing I had Snikrot haha.

But what are your plans for the chaplain? I'm kinda curious

I have the same question: Where does the chappy go?

Hmm…why not get a master of the forge instead as an HQ.
Satisfies HQ requirement and allows you to bolster defense and make camo cloaks even better.

Or Shrike: he can actually infiltrate with scouts…and gives them fleet, so you can actually first turn assault.

Sniper scouts, decent cover fire.
Shotgun scouts, doesn’t really make sense with hvy botler, maby bolters would be better.
Combat Scouts look ok.

Storms:meh, I’ve never liked them. And a 5 man scout squad is not really that intimidating in combat.

Scout bikes: cluster mines seem meh. You have to put them down before you pick sides, so you may end up with a terrain piece you want cover from, but have to take bombs to the face.
Scout bikes are great. Their only flaw is that they don’t score. You will have great fun with these guys.
Maximize shooting and only charge when you have no room to kite with.

Remember: without Shrike, you can never 1 st turn assault outside of a Storm:
1. Go first.
2. The opponent doesn’t move towards the scouts.

Scout moves still need to be limited to being MORE THAN 12” away.

In addition, hvy flamers and their equivalent are your bane, 40K is moving towards many new cover ignoring weapons, look out.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I don't like the gimmick and I don't see what about this army is good. You have two BS 3 missile launchers, and aside from that your only anti-tank is krak grenades. You have Scouts with bolters. You have a Scout army without Telion. Nothing about this list scares me at all.

I think any mech list would kill this.

You should put in some meltas on landspeeders or something. Maybe switch HB for Missile launcher to squeeze in more vehicle kills.

1. Drop Chaplain for a better HQ.

2. Add a couple or 3 techmarines to give 3 pieces of terrain bolstered defense. Will help cover saves.

3. Decide what squads are going in Storms and arm them to do something. I.E. combi melta, powerfist and melta bombs on Sgt. Then combat squad them and put sniper rifles on other 5 to hold down objectives.

4. Get Telion in list
