In Necromunda (for those that played that old skool game) they had these bounty hunters that had some crazy unique rules to catch their bounty.

While im not a total fan of super complex rules, but i was figuring that in the universe of 40k, shouldn't there be some bounty hunters willing to collect? We got rogue traders, shouldn't we have some 4 armed hunter willing to cash in on a Space Marine captain kill? Enough money to buy a small planet and all...

Well, I doubt a bounty hunter would join a legion of Space Marines to capture a Chaos sorcerer or something. A bounty hunter wouldn't see a large scale battle, as it's simply not their place.

If they ever make rules for rogue traders in 40k you could definitely have a cool bounty-hunter themed force. You could even counts-as with the Daemonhunters codex right now with a little imagination.

They exist in the other systems, necromunda and =][=, because those systems examine the lives of the civilians and those outside the battlefields. Bounty Hunters really wouldn't find their way onto the front lines of a warzone.

Well, they might, but they are too much of a free agent to put into any of the current armies.
