I really have a question for those of you out there that have put together a thunder fire cannon... was it as big a pain in the ass for you as it was for me?

The tip of the barrel did not fit on the barrel. The back piece did not fit on the back of the cannon. The cannon itself did not fit to the base. The two halves of the cannon barely fit together in the first place, and this was on not just one, but two models. I thought the space marine drop pod was bad, but then I got this model and couldn't even put it together without some major use of my tools.

So have anyone else out there had as much trouble with the model I had or was it just some sort of fluke? Have you ever had models so difficult to put together that you could not put it together without the use of other tools (not talking about just taking off mold lines, but to physically put the model together)?

Yeah, its a pain, shame too I rather like the way it looks but would never want to assemble a second one.

The drop pod is a piece of cake compared to the TFC.

The Thunderfire Cannon (aka TFC or 'That Fething Cannon) is a shambles. Every single part of the TFC is miscast in some way.
Many of them sold in my area were returned because of "SNAD" (to use an ebay term) issues (and were refunded without complaint).

I had to rebuild one of my clubmates' TFCs. Most of his issues though revolved around the overuse of superglue though. I simply dropped it on the table (from a foot up) and it fell apart.

I put it back together with epoxy and it has stayed together since (he's known for simply tossing his minis into a shoebox after a game).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
