Making a daemon pri ce out of an ogre tyrant, and since he does not come with a round base I need to know what size round base to put him on. I'm hoping it's the termi ator sized base since I have a ton of those, while the bigger size I'd have to make or but one.

60mm base as they are a LOT bigger than a terminator.

Yeah, 60mm is considered the standard.

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

Demon Princes come with the terminator (40mm) sized base.

That surpises a lot of people because they barely fit on them, and most people mount them on a 60mm base.

I think the standard demon prince model comes with a 40mm base, but the nurgle demon prince comes with the larger 60mm base.

The "Daemon Prince" model used to come with 40mm. I think the newer castings come with a 60mm.

I've used the Unbound Daemonhost and Deceiver models for mine, which came with 40mm. If 40mm is big enough for a behemoth like Deceiver, I'm perfectly happy using it for my weakling daemon prince.

Which ever one it comes in.
^that is the general answer.

You only have your scouts honor to honor that rule. So at the end of the day it's which ever you feel is 'best'...whether that be for aesthetics or gaming reasons.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Well there's also the issue of people using conversions. I used a Belakor, so wantying to know what the base is is more of a factor.
EDIT I've been informed they currently use 40mm bases. I don't see how they freeking fit...

I think I'll go ahead and use a 40mm. I've got a bunch of extras of those and no 60mm, plus it looks the right size for an ogre and keeps him smaller than my GUO.

I inherited two of the DP on 40mm, with huge wings on them. Not much smaller at all than a bloodthirster when side by side. I rebased them on 60mm, as they just looked silly.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Unless it's Nurgle it should be 40 mm. If it's Nurgle both 40 mm and 60 mm would be ok.

In one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 6", kill a few guys with his flamer, assault 6", kill two more guys with his bayonet, flee 12", regroup when assaulted, react 6", kill one more guy with his bayonet and then flee another 12".
So in one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 42" and kill more than 5 people. At the same time a Chimera at top speed on a road can move 18"...

But they're still both demon princes. The idea that just because one is nurglish you should get to choose seems unfair. I don't know... My thought is they look much better on a 60mm base.

Judging from the GW product page the base size it's supplied with is 40mm

(ah, and a friend who plays Chaos has a DP on a 40mm base )

The Nurgle Prince has a 60mm, by the looks of it (I've never actually seen one IRL myself)

wouldn't it be nice if GW was consistent on their website and listed what base sizes the models come with? Some do, some do not

I own and play:
Space Marines (all flavours)
Tau Empire
Tyranids
Necrons
