A good review. I have to say that the hailgun (that crazy 25 pts magic gun) seems a bit too good & no-brainer, though.

You can't give it to your Lord without losing either his weapon or his armor, and his bs is 3, so you don't want him to have it anyway.

If you give it to a Hero they can't fight in combat, which is sort of their point. I guess you could give them a great weapon and hope, but the good armor is ~50 points, so they've lost out on that.

It wants to be carried by a fast cav guy, or a flying guy, but there's no one with the appropriate BS.

Can wizards carry magic weapons nowadays? I sort of thought they could only get arcane, but if not a scroll caddy could tote the hailfire


Hmm, didn't notice that the lords only had bs3 (weird). Well, it's probably not that bad then, altough I'd definetly give 1 to a daemonsmith If I happened to run 2-3.
