So I still have Wolf Guard Terminators back when they looked like this...
...I've been thinking of clipping them off their bases and gluing them onto a 40mm one instead. Is there an easier way to go about this? From where I stand, it seems much more advantageous to go to the effort than to leave them be, because then less termies get caught in blasts, and they can cover a wider area.
Anyway, any thoughts on this little dilemma that's plaguing my precious Wolf Guard/Wolf Lord?

Hey, Instead of clipping the mmodels from the base. Why dont you just put them on top of the bigger base and make it look like they are on steps.

Perhaps. That could actually look pretty cool.

Yeah that is why I suggested it. Plus why ruin a good paint job by clipping the model just to put it on a bigger base. Also think of all the possabilitys that you could do with the bottom base. Ruins, dead bodies, walls, ect.... But that is just my opinion.

In any case, I've got to get ahold of some 40mm bases now...

Those are the bases they were supplied on. Don't worry about it. Even so, most people won't mind one way or another. If they're the type to give you hell for something so trivial, you probably don't want to play with them anyway.

I haven't had anyone object (in fact, I had one guy offer to buy them off me - ha! yeah right!), but like I said I really don't like being more vulnerable to blast templates.
