I found these through The Miniatures Page.
Post WW1 Russian anarchist leaders. Might be nice captains or commissars for a suitable IG force.

Brigade's website is rather shonky but they seem to have some nice products including a variety of armed and unarmed civilians spanning later Victorian to early 1920s. All 28mm figures.
Their vehicles look good but are only 1/56th scale, which will look far too small in 40K though it is actually the correct scale for 28mm.

Did Fulgrim Just Behead Ferrus?

Not bad, but there is something very flat and inorganic about them. Don't know how to explain it, they have a lot of potential though. I might want to remove the heads (especially the guy on the left) and replace them with something better.
Tell the creators to keep up the good work!

Now there are some figures you don't see every day. Reprasentatives from the post-tzarist/pre-socialist period? Jesu, they went through governments like socks!
The eyes put me off these models pretty much. They really killed it for me on these. The rest of them is pretty good; the price point would determine what kind of buy-in I would be looking at. Automatically Appended Next Post: There is some interesting stuff on that site!

Everyone has their own taste in figures as in other aspects of life.
To me they look nice and simple, chiselled, and I think they would paint up nicely with easy techniques.

I agree, except for the eyes. Maybe trim them off, and carve/drill some in place?

You could trim/drill, or you could paint the dudes up as bulgy eyed frothers!
Sometimes the picture of a miniature is deceptive. That picture is double life size on my screen. You might not even notice the eyes on the real model.

Mebbe. You know, I don't even think calling them simple does them justice. I mean, they may be one-piece but there's a ton of detail on them, and the detail is "right".
Yeah, I think a head swap would make these things ROCK.
