So I recently recieved a 1" foam tray with 30 slots cut out for tall figurines from Outrider Hobbies.

The foam material is lighter in color than Sabols, but otherwise seams identicle in both feel and cushioning.

The only negative I see for Outrider is that the material used in the backing (the bottom of the tray) is noticeably flimsier than the Sabol backing.

To show the difference, I placed 3 metal pathfinders at the edge of each tray and then allowed the tray to hang over the edge, allowing the weight to pull the tray down.

Sabol Tray: (Bottom of tray is around 1 3/4")

Outrider Hobby Tray: (Bottom of tray is around 1 1/4")

To determine if it would handle weight, I placed a battalion worth of foam trays loaded with Tau ontop of the Outrider foam tray. I didn't see any noticeable crushing of the tray.

All in all, I think the product is adequate and if priced under Sabol, is a good buy.
