The problem with trying to count them as a griffon is that a griffon is much larger and is a vehicle.

Totally agree with ph34r.

Yes i quess it should but then again i wouldnt mind knowing a better way to mount these bad boys leaving them without bases looks nice but impractical.

i know the griffon is larger and a vehicle but the weapon is the same its a heavy mortar mounted to a chimera.maybe just count them as normal mortars then?

thanks legion

OR get really creative, and mate that mortar kit, to an open topped tank. Then it would be a griffon, AND a super bad ass looking one at that

Slap the heavy mortar on to a Chimera. Shave off the area behind the turret, and place the Mortar in the troop-carrying compartment. Sort of like this.

That sounds pretty sweet but i really like the idea of having these stand alone artillery pieces.

a compromise would be to make a self-propelled platform for them, just armoured at front and sides. It could even be designed so that the mortar and crew were removable. So long as the dimensions roughly match a Griffon, you shouldn't get too many complaints.

yer so build a base for the mortar that has a shield of sorts on the fron and sides to match the size of a griffon right i can do that crew spearate ?? just to look cool

i still might have 3 of them fielded as mortars
