People I will make this quick as the rest of the battle I lost track. Well my friend got the new wolf codex early and decided that he wanted to test a 3000pt army against my 1500 IG (first time I ever played with them) and my friends Dark Eldar (also 1500). the game was for kill points.

The highlights of the game were that although the wolves went first, the long fangs did nothing against my LRBT! However when it was our turn, the long fangs didn’t make it into the second turn! Big pie plate of death from both a LRBT and my groovy meant that they died a most useless death!

In the third turn a ravager killed some fancy dread character (can’t remember his name but he is in the new codex) making him the only objective! Leading to the wolves’ Lone wolf to hold the objective, but meaning that he didn’t die, kill points for our side!!!

In the fifth turn Ulrick the slayer came out on my side, were my only heavy weapons team (with lascannons) proceeded to take a toll on the wolves terminators, after Ulrick killed one whole guard squad, the lascannons turned around and blew him to bits!

But the best part of the came, was the death of the terminators, starting as a team of 5, going down to 3 from the efforts of the dark elder, mobilized towards my lines, taking my devildog and another guard squad, only to be stopped by none other than lasguns! That’s right, lasguns! The final terminator dies when his 2+ armour save, the only one he had to make fails to stop a lowly shot from my guardsmen!

Sorry for no pics, but I would just like to say that one game as IG, had better shooting results than three years playing as Tau. although the Wolves one in the end (by one point) this is the best game Ive ever had.

The Emperor would not bless those who consort with Xenos! If your guard have not fallen to the dark powers I would hope they wiped the vile aliens from His domain. Congrats on the win though. I will be facing wolves soon with my regular marines and this will provide me with a few hints.

sounds like a fun battle, but just for future reference the dread character only counts as an objective if it's an objective mission. In KP missions he grants extra kill points if the SW has no models in base to base with it, but if it dies the SW army becomes fearless.

This is why i want to make a 2000 point list with 300 guardsmen. With enough shots you WILL fail saves.

ughh, but i think of the cost and cry. Good Game bad luck for the puppies player. Got his list at all?
