So I'm new to the miniatures modeling and I'm learning all the rules and slowly building my SM army. This is my first dreadnought and I just wanted to get everyone's opinions so far and find out if anyone is playing in FL.

Looks like a nice, clean paintjob, with some excellent weathering on the legs.
If you're looking for critique, I'd say use a wash or ink to "age" the parchment on the chest-banner and purity seal, then add some squiggles to look like text.

I think that's the shiney floor and white balance fluro light effect.
It kinda looks like the set of American Chopper.
Nice job on the paint looks clean and smooth.

Nice paintjob, very neat and tidy as others have said though touch up the seal and otehr bits with an ink wahs and bring out the details more

That first pick gave me a brief feeling of what it would be like to be an enemy of the imperium! he loomed out at me.
Little bit of wash and i think you have a dread to be proud of.

Ha ha it really does!

Nice dread. My only problem is you can clearly see the two halves of the lascannons. Not to sure how to sort it or prevent it. But maybe some GS to fill it might help.
Very nice though

Of course, as an American, that means I must say that soccer sucks, and football (real football... you know, the one where you do everything with your hands) is 10,000 times as good. I mean, football players could probably beat up soccer players, even, because they actually know sports. Good, I thought that was only me, haha.
As mentioned by others, just toss a bit of wash on it and you're good to go. I like it a lot! I think that the base needs most attention with washes though. Perhaps do a heavy black wash and then a brown wash. Also to hide the transferness of the transfer (hehe), first apply a brush on gloss coat, and then finish up with a spray matte varnish (or gloss varnish if you're into that sort of thing).

The paintjob is very clean, precise and technically quite good. It gives a very polished looks, but its not quite fresh-off-the-production-line. That is a good thing. This is a good dreadnaught...
It really does look a couple of stories tall...

When you call an intimate moment with your partner "the Assault Phase"
Is that followed by a pile-in move?
That brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hit and Run"
Can that be following a deep strike, or do you have to wait until the next round? |

For a newish painter, that looks pretty good. I think you have the basics down. The highlights could do with being a bit more pronounced, and as mentioned the purity seal could do with a wash. Other than that, and maybe a few addition details to add more character, its a good looking mini.

Intentional or not, it's a decent photo by textbook standards.
It gives the impression it's life size because:
-Fills the photo plane fully (Also cropping out the las cannon pulling the eye in that direction)
-Foreground in focus, background out of focus
-No direct size indicators. Even though there is a keyboard and another marine in the background, they are out of focus the eye makes them just background clutter/setting.
:p Lucky shot DAANNG, Dread looks good too. I hope many of your foes fall at the wayside of his service.

Slightly overfilling the join with glue and gently clamping during the initial assembly. The excess glue can then be wiped off and any mess filed/cut away when dry.
