So I just came back from the Daboyz GT in Rochester NY and when packing up my stuff to leave for home I was inspired. Slaanesh Cyber Daemons were calling. So in a flurry I immediately called up my buds for used/free guitar wire. I began furiously drawing out sketches for what I want. . . pincers. . . yes. . . drills. . . totally. . . buzzsaws. . .oh you know it! throw in some androgynous Slaanesh pervert icons a little GS and bam! I have a theme. Last night I made up a mock test model just to be sure of what I wanted and if i could do it:





The GSing hasn't been done yet so those rough joints between the wire and the plastic will be "implanted" into the girl.

I sent these pics out to Salvage and he had this to say, "I wonder if the guitar wire is a bit too "boingy" looking (as in, no joints, just that bendy length) for proper limbs? Or not, maybe you're going for mechadendrite flexibility or so. Also I'd like to note how unfortunate single pose fantasy plastics are in 40k, where ranking isn't an issue."

I have to say I 100% agree. Although I want that wire feel of the mechadendrite I don't want it to dominate my theme so most models will be plasticard with wire accents as opposed to miss slinky i have so far. With my LGS out of plasticard I have to make a drive out to the nearest hobbytown for plasticard (I hate ordering over the internet for materials as there is no substitute for the "feel") I was stuck with only tubing. Today though more test models when I get back and I want to take a crack at that pincer!

It's true! I noticed some I had missed (oh those thighs!) so i went back to polish them up. i figured a pic update on mold line removal would be pretty lame :-P anyway more tests tomorrow! (I'm so excited!)

And then, to find myself named as one of the inspirations? Very gratifying.

DictatorGames: looks like a great start, with some very intriguing ideas bubbling to the surface here. Integrating a Slaanesh aesthetic with a Dark Adeptus one is going to be challenging. I love the results so far.

Minor update: So today I went in and rearranged my closet o' Warhammer and after completing this arduous task I come to discover that my sculpting kit is missing! turns out it is at my bro's house so until I buy a new set I'll be leaving the girls as is. Bad thing is that I have a commission due Monday and i need the Kit to finish it! Sigh.

I've been working ona cyber-nurgle army, and the plague bearers were my next stop This looks awesome! Some ideas I've used:

-one with a TV in a random spot, with an antenna in another random spot (I had the tv in a knee, with the antenna ona shoulder)
-built-in walkie talkies
-lots of random "loose wiring"
-Chaos spiky vehicle bits galore! If you play CSM you have 9899789 million of them
-Dreadnought bodies, if you're wanting to do bigger things, look super good when converted
-searchlights make really cool eyes
-A themed scratch-built super-heavy is a must! I'm working on a sandcrawler of Nurgle to be a massive centerpiece

Im honestly still out of town on my opinon. I think this army could be cool and extremely different but we will see once you get some more done.

Did some tests for the skin tones for the girlies! I made 3 skin tones and I think i will keep them all and mix and match but I want to get everyone opinions. What do you guys think?

Purple FTW, The concept is strange yet, interesting, yet creepy.

Looks quite interesting indeed, didnt think it worked at first, but with a lil paint its all going to pay off.

Creative, very slaanesh and a good realisation of it. I like this!

I like these ones. Very nice. IMHO, the guitar wire looks a bit wierd, but painted up it looks better. Awsome!

Finished the paint job for the girls, my camera died so I only got 1 crappy picture of the purple girl with her hair painted in flesh color. anyway here they are! I'm gunna base and start building some more girls now. . .






my question of the post: what kind of basing? Ad-mech with slaanesh or I though maybe mosaic-greek?

Started work on the seekers of slaanesh, it all started when my order from an online bits distributor came up wrong (Thanks to me). I had 3 scout bikes extra so I decide lets make my herald! She started out as a test model for my herald on chariot but we shall see now as I think she does better as a seeker. Any way here she is about 60% complete (I haven't even started thinking about mold lines yet):

So whats going on with the legs.

I figure she has been hardwired into the bike, so her legs were grafted onto the bike and i still need to greenstuff in tubing, flesh and a bit more with the plasticard to get the right feel.

*Blows off cobwebs and old dust caked on thick on this blog. Swiftly kicks out squatters and bums to torment some other neglected blog*

Man, it's been a while since I had a chance to touch this one again. I had some left over green stuff from working on my most recent Malifaux Project else where on the Dakka Site and decided what the hell? Why not restart this one from time to time so here is the almost complete Slaanesh Seeker. I added the chains and the Slaanesh symbols around the front and back of the bike. Still gotta get one of those long round bike bases for her.




I don't know how long it will be between updates but I'm going to post any progress I (slowly) make, either way enjoy!

Cool. Could use some more tubey bits IMO.

Very nice. Try to blend the skin tone more, because no matter how evil they are, they must remain quite feminine.

Have you considered using the Dark Eldar jetbike as well?
