Hey there,

While I understand the Kill Team rules were made for the 4th edition rulebook, I am looking to make a Kill Team of using the rules for IG and am just making sure that I would be able to have troop choices without having a command platoon.

Thanks in advance ^^

Kill Teams are old rules and not supported by the new codexes, thus, you have to work it out yourselves.

Or you could actually post something usefull like the following link instead of contributing nothing to the thread.

And to answer your question, Yes.. you can have troops without takeing a command platoon.
"When putting together a Kill-team...ignore all minimum unit size restrictions and treat all models purchased as a single unit at all times."

So you can choose between 0-whatever models for each squad. So ignore the command platoon.

Or, just a thought here, I could post what the actual answer is, which is that the Kill Teams are old rules and not supported by the new codexes, thus, you have to work it out yourselves.

Gwar! Is wrong! See my above post for "the actual answer."

As long as it was the good bits. I'd hate to see M:tG with the GW level Rules Writing...

Ugh, that'd be terrible or hilarious. I'm not sure which one though.

Tooon I am closing this thread. It would be more appropriate in proposed rules or 40K discussions (rules me thinks) and the static is too high for you to get good responses. Please repost a clean version there for better results. thanks!

EDIT. Gentlemen I'm a little disappointed here. Clearly this was a proposed item or something akin. No one reported that it should be there. Instead of being helpful or making that note, most posters on this thread got into the usual furball and others went OT. I expected better from more veteran members of Dakka.
