Subject: So I'm going to buy a reaver titan...

With the Australian Dollar powering up against the Pound I'm looking to buy a reaver later in the year (In the last month alone thanks to exchange rates it is US $120 cheaper).
I assume that the apocalypse missile launcer is the best option for the carapace, and I'd like to get it as it looks much better than the warhound weapons.
Which leaves me with what to buy for the arm weapons.
The titan CCW whilst looking awesome = lame compared to the other weapons.
Otherwise I'm open to suggestions as to what to buy.
Help me out with what to get.

The Apocalypse missile launcher probably looks best on the carapace mount but the best in game loadout (under the current rules) is probably twin arm mounted Laser Blasters and a Double-Barrelled Turbo Laser on the Carapace, for a fairly ridiculous 8 Str D , 5 inch blasts per turn, all at 96 inch range .
Anything you dislike dies in one turn of fire essentially.
If you want cool looks personally, I'd probably get the Carapace launcher, power fist, and Laser blaster personally, I think that makes the FW model look great.

Buy what looks cool and proxy with your friends. You're paying way too much money to get an ugly weapons loadout for the sake of game rules when you won't get to use it very often in the first place (unless people at your store are cuckoo for apocalypse or something)

A Nation's money worth changes all the time.
Sometimes between 2 countries , the rate will end up favoring you . When that happens you can get more out of your country's
currency when purchasing the other country's .
For example if USA's dollar drops down alot , to the point it cant drop any further without nation going bank rupt ,
you can say you purchase $100,000 USD . say the next month or next year when USD's worth stablizes and its worth has became strong again,
you could even get $130,000 out of it .

Yes. In fact currency trading is often done almost exactly like stock trading. But the effect on the average consumer is that certain products that are purchased overseas can be more expensive or cheaper depending on how their respective currencies compare.
To go with Waaagh_Gonads' example:
Imagine the exchange rate for Aussie Dollars to UK Pounds is 4:1 (1 Pound is worth 4 Dollars). This means anything costing 100 Pounds will cost 400 Aussie Dollars.
If the rate was to change - say 3:1 - then you would literally get more bang for your buck. The same item that cost a British person 100 Pounds now only costs an Aussie 300 Dollars.
There are many different reasons why exchange rates can change, but generally if a country has a booming economy, its currency will become stronger compared to the rest of the world.
Oh and OP, I agree with Grankobot. You're going to have this amazing model sitting on a display shelf 99% of the time and I think having it look extra awesome will end up being much more worth it than making sure it performs in the odd Apocalypse game.

Which is why I can now internet order from an independent discounter in the UK, and have the models at my house in 7-8 days postage included, and save 40% on getting in my car and driving the 10 minutes to my local GW and buy the same model.
Which is why I have only bought Space Hulk from my local GW in the last year, everything else comes out of the UK.

Nicely done.
On a related note, however, even if buying online is considerably cheaper, it's nice to somewhat support your FLGS. If it's a GW specific store then I'm not too worried, but the place I play at is just a gaming store that happens to sell 40k and Fantasy. It always bothers me a little when I heard the kids in there telling each other "ooh, no don't buy here, get it online!" and then go on to play a 3 hour game on one of the great tables that has been set up and maintained for 40k gamers.
I buy a lot of my stuff online, but I make sure to spend at least a few dollars to keep my FLGS in business, especially if I play there frequently.

Agreed. I very rarely buy online because I like to support my FLGS. I pay a little extra cash, but having 12 tables with a plethora of terrain layouts for each table and bimonthly tournaments makes it worth it.

Jonson: I did nothing! Guilliman: I did more nothing that you! Jonson: Nuh-uh. I was the most worthless! Guilliman: Have you read my book? Dorn: No one likes that book. Khan: C'mon guys. I disagree on taking the turbo laser over vortex missile.
I like the idea of having 8 5" D's.
But that missile does something so horrifyingly devastating that it deserves special consideration. it might be one shot, but the fact that it ignores invulnerable saves and just "picks up" models instead of just causing ID, makes it worth trading 2 D shots per turn.
For arms, I looked briefly at the power fist. Unfortunately due to the way void shields work and the piss poor weapon skill of imperial walkers, the safest place for imperial titans to be is in the back row.
Two laser blasters is a no brainer for arms.

Eh, I've found the overall reliability of the 8 Str D templates more useful but your mileage may vary
Almost anything dies when you focus fire on it, so Im not sold on the one super nasty shot vs two nasty shots per turn.

I hadn't thought about the vortex missile Shep...
I'm not planning on fixing the apocalypse missile launcher in place for transport issues.
I'm sure I could get someone to convert up a suitable missile and 'mount' for it without too much difficulty.
