How do you think this would fare, both nobles + teclis (maybe teclis with archers?) in the PG unit, and teclis runs away if someone comes a knocking, though he has decent protection with 3 s6 and 3 s5 ASF attacks and a champ who will challange. I only have 8 units so i might get +2 to go first, which is pretty key, on first turn i can throw out 10-20 s3 shots, 18 s4 ap, and 3s5. Teclis may get lucky and be able to use a Flames/Spirit of the Forge/Pit at IF causing some serious havoc. If facing Hotek i have a lot of shooting, so hopefully can snipe (RoBI) or just kill the offending unit.

any help, would it be competitive?
I will be playing DE, VC, Daemons of all varieties, O&G, Stardragon HE, Lizardman (lots of stegs+saurus) so it is a pretty competitive environment and I would like to have a list that doesn't just get rolled over, I think i am going to have a games on tuesday and would like to have a list ready by then.

I'm tempted to suggest making the reaver noble not a BSB on foot with DA, Shield and GW (if you need the defense, you can always switch to HW + Shield for a 3+ save).

Would also consider dropping the second noble for a lvl2 with at least 1 scroll to put some more pressure during the magic phase.

I think if i were to add a second mage i think a level one would be better with jewel of dusk+scroll for the points, I can only take a lvl 2 with a scroll, so that means that usually i would only throw 2 dice (the rest are for teclis) at a spell. I save 20 points, at the price of being able to choose an additional spell and possibly throwing 3 dice at it if i steal one die from teclis. I dont think that is personally worth it. I would probably choose High Magic to give my Swordmasters some much needed shield of saphery, and if the magic phase is going badly i can try drain magic. Of course i feel both are likely to get dispelled, but i am only paying 15 points for the ability to do it instead of 35. Then my magic defense will be at a minimum of 6 dd +2 scrolls and a max of 8dd+2scrolls. which seems like a lot. I am worried that the lvl1/2 just will never get off a spell so i am paying 135-155 for 1dd+scroll.
Instead if i just make the changes to the old bsb i can add 2 Swordmasters bringing them up to 14, or 2 PGs making them 17 strong, and give one of the nobles (probably reaver bow) the talisman of Loec, what do you think is better?

I used the list with the alterations made at the end of my last post and i was able to pull a win against a dark elf player even though he used ring of hotek. It probably helped that i had amazing luck with shooting in the first two turns, killed most of his black guard before they got to me, then used the eagle to re-direct and charged them in the flank to kill a few more before he made my Swordmasters run away after he moved his unkillable hero in base contact with them. I ran,rallied and was charged a turn later and was able to kill of everything until the last turn when it was 3 SM against his unkillable hero + standard and i lost 2 and killed the standard and passed my break test so kept my VPs. In the end he had killed about 950 VPs and killed my general for a total of 1050 points(i made a really dumb mistake and got teclis killed right at the end) I had about 1720 VPs for a solid victory! Of course i was also really lucky as i had two archers left in one squad, about 5 PG left, one crew member and a single swordsman, also a lucky roll killed 200 points (blood cauldron). Anyways ring of hotek was tough and i didn't do much with teclis except the last turn gain 50 VPs by halving a squad of DE crossbows, of course if i had instead moved in with the archers i would have survived and only given 155 points (bolt thrower, left over archers) instead of 575.
