I just bought the rule book and intend on miniature wargaming with 15mm mini's. The mini's are taken care of, but what else do I need?

I am not familiar with the game, can someone clue me in with the cards and army books?

My questions are:

What are all the army books?
What cards do I have to have to play, and what ones are extra?
