hey guys, after all the talk about the new space wolf jaws power "removing" models from the table, i was wondering what other effectively instant death but not necessarily called so powers/effects/weapons there are and how they interact with multiple wounds and/or eternal warrior. i'll start... for instance, the BBB says that force weapons inflict instant death and are negated by eternal warrior. however, the daemonhunters codex force weapon has the same flavor text and effect but doesn't specifically mention the words "instant death" or eternal warrior rules (frankly, only because it's an old 3rd edition codex and they didn't exist in the same form). so, according to raw, it WOULD kill an eternal warrior model since codex trumps BBB. any other like instant death but not instances?

ps. in case it's not obvious, this is a RAW thread.

edit: wow, there are more than i thought. i'll update the first post with the list. also, as a reference to new (and not so new players) it might be good to put any possible counters to the effects (psychic hoods, cover or invul saves, armor saves, initiative tests, leadership checks,etc). for psychic powers, i'll just state them as such and list the possible counters here (psychic hoods, eldar wargear that makes you roll 3d6 for psy tests, SW rune armor, DH termies anti-psy powers, WH anti-psy powers, etc). if you've got counters to them, feel free to post them as i'll update this later today.

Boon of Mutation (ranged weapon but no LOS required, 6" range, target make a toughness check)
Gift of Chaos (psychic power, 6" range, roll over the targets toughness)
Daemonhunter Codex Force Weapons (close combat, requires psychic test)
Shokk Attack Gun Raarrgh ("removed from play" shooting attack, need LOS)
Old Zogwort Squig Curse (psychic shooting power 18" range, needs LOS, opposed dice roll)
Jaws of the World Wolf (psychic power, 24" range, initiative check)

No. None of them Ignore Eternal Warrior...

Yeah, that's a nice one, it's a shame it's pretty useless though :(

Or Fall Back moves to a table edge?

Well both of them destroy the unit, so it doesn't really affect just that model, but it is a way to remove Eternal Warriors
