Do you really need a chapter master? I might go with just a captain to save points.

Other than that I would try and fit some meltaguns in the list, one in the mobile rhino squad might be good. Someone could bring a Landraider.

Well, in small point games you need numbers.
A Chapter Master is overkill.
Just take a Captain with a relic blade and melta bombs.

Thanks, i was going for the chapter master simply for the orbital bombardment. I was figuring that in a small 600pt game a strenght ten AP1 large blast might give me a huge advantage if i use it in the first turn.

I'm actually going to take the hunter killer missle off the rhino and give each sergeant melta-bombs. What do you think of the list now? (just edited old list not going to do new post).

Orbital Bombardment is more of a "Perk" than a reason to buy the chapter master. With it scattering the full 2D6 and with the lack of units on the table, I really think you're going to find that this won't do much.

A Captain with a relic blade is 130 points. Not bad.

Now, I the heavy bolter really just something that calls to be better. A Missile launcher at least has a chance to take out a tank then can go krak for infantry. With that 10 points form the CM --> Captain you can give the footslogging marine squad a lascannon istead of a ML for a bit more anti-tank.

Ok new army list to be torn apart . I'm good with 1000+ army lists, not so good with <1000 points

The cheapest most cost effective HQ is the Libby. 100 points without terminator armor 125 with. Heavy Bolter doesn't work too well, a missile launcher can do the same thing and more.

I think your math is off on your second tac squad, which is strange because your first one adds up right.

90+16+16+16+16+16 = 170 + 10 points (las cannon) + 5 points (melta bombs) = 185

I'd go for Kreedos' last list.
Rhinos are not a must-have in small pt games.
The Speeders are much more bang for the bucks.

Land speeders aren't my thing lol, and i want at least one rhino to speed ahead and grab those all important objectives. (2/3 Missions in the league are objective based).
