Hi folks,
Being a fan of reading battle reports, I thought it's about time I contributed one of my own! This is the first Battle report I've created, aptly created for the final match of the first tournament I've attended!
The tournament was 500pt doubles, and while my expectations were quite low (probaby from reading all the horror stories on the forums), I ended up having an absolute blast, and all the competitors were great guys to play against!

The Batrep can be found here:

Any critique would be greatly appeciated on this - hope you enjoy!

Nice report

"And what are the achievements of your fragile Imperium? It is a corpse rotting slowly from within while maggots writhe in its belly. It was built with the toil of heroes and giants, and now it is inhabited by frightened weaklings to whom the glories of those times are half-forgotten legends."

Sounds like a pretty great game, told in an appropriately awesome fashion.

I liked how you made it seem like a story. Good pictures and it kept my attention! Chaos has many faces but damn! that's scary

That was a really nicely done bat rep. Congrats to your speedy Tac Squad! Those Daemon models were really sweet too.

Yeah... if stargate had a GIANT FACE AT THE OTHER END!!! AIIIIEEE!!!!

Seriously though, good report. I like to see people use Vassal for their bat reps.

Side note: I love Drax's blog, and he is a constant commenter on my own blog. That's cool that you know him personally.

BTW (last time, I swear): I am at 1337 posts! Kickin'!

Glad you liked it - to be honest it wasn't until after I wrote the report that it was actually quite hard visualising where everything was starting, and it's very rare that a photo can capture all this in one shot!

Always goot to meet a fellow blogger - though I must confess that I've tended to be quite slack in posting on other people's blogs in the past, I must make more of an effort, and I'll pass your regards to Drax
