Do Chaos knights move 8" or 7"? Rang GW and the guy there said 8" as they are not normal mounts, has anyone else played it that way as the rules say barding reduces movement by 1"...
Cheers, Mick

They move 7".

GW guy was on crack.
Move 8, but with barding = move 7.

Same as above. Only those wacky french knights have strong horses. Everyone else...barding= -1 movement

Big enough to have a fall down template. Yup, that's me!

Game over. Used 7" movement and still slaughtered the lizards
My reason for asking earlier was because every entry for a Chaos steed shows movement 8, you don't get an option to have a Chaos steed without barding where you do on other warhorses, it has +1 strength compared to any other warhorse, there is a 25 point difference between a Chaos Warrior and a Chaos knight and the fluff says Chaos steeds are not normal ones, they have daemon blood and wear armour no other steeds could handle (plus what the GW guy said...).

I hear you. The awesomeness of chaos steeds is that they get S4. In game terms they have no other statistical benefits over regular warhorses, though.

Calling GW is one of the worst things to do about rules issues. A Buddy of mine conducted an experiment where he called 3 times, asking the same question. He got three different responses. It was a yes/no question.

He got a 'yes', a 'no', and a 'I dunno, 4+ it'.
