Well, I finally got my first conversion all painted up, even though the pictures aren't great.
This is my first time playing with Green Stuff, and the first painting I've done in about 3 years.
Introducing, Dr. Feelgood! He was modded from an AoBR nob. All I've got is 3 sets of Black Reach, so I work with what I've got. His 'urty syringe is made from GS and a straight pin, and his pliers, apron, and eyepiece are all pure GS.
Hanging out with the good doctor is my as-yet-unnamed Big Mek, with PK and a scratchbuilt SAG. The pics of the completed SAG are blurry, I know.
I decided to go with a top-loading SAG, since I didn't like the look of the long vacuum tube on most of the models I've seen. I was, of course, inspired by Cadium's awesome SAG.
And finally, my painted Painboy, in all his blurry glory.

Very nice, like the Doc in particular. Not overly keen on the wood texture on the shokk gun of the mek though. Also, is his jaw made of plasticard? Good bit of modelling if it was.

Yeah, I'm not terribly fond of how that texture turned out either. I was going for wires, but having them perfectly aligned just didn't look right, and they ended up sort of jumbled. I'm hoping paint will help.
I haven't found a place in town to get plasticard, so his jaw is made of soft foam from Hobby Lobby, with cardstock teeth. My boyz are going to have to be made on the cheap!

even with the blury you can still tell nice looking models. Though I dont like the pointy needlesk comming from the doc. It reminds me of when I saw some idiot use a hypodermic on a doc before.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

This weekend I got the first of my Killa Kans modeled. He is made from 2 soda lids, 1 bottle cap, a bunch of matchsticks, a straw, some plastic tubing, fun foam, seed beads, headphone wire, green stuff, and miliput. Oh, and glue. Lots of glue. He's got a boy next to him for size comparison.
So what do you think, folks? How is he size-wise, too big, too small? Does he need more gubbins, and if so, what type would yall suggest?
I finally ordered a cord for my camera, so hopefully soon I'll have actual non-blurry photographs! I am excited.

Pretty solid paintwork, but I'm sort of with Empchild on this one: maybe it's too rickety even for the orks... Perhaps some more glyphs, shootas or just odd bitz would make it look a bit more legit.
