If my Land Raider full of berzerkers trundles up to the unsuspecting enemy, they all bail out, charge the opposing squad, completely massacre them then consolidate D6" to within 2" of the Land Raider's entry points, can they all jump back on board in the same turn?

Cheers folks!

BRB p66 "Embarking", first sentence. No.

Sorry, being impatient really. Couldn't remember the ruling for this and couldn't be bothered to wait until I got home from work. So they can consolidate past the big open hatch at the front of their Land Raider, but not through it. Hey ho!

Embarking happens in the movement phase so there is no possibility to embark with a consolidate move.

Furthermore, a unit may not embark and disembark in the same turn.

As Scott says, you can only ever embark in the movement phase, so no, you can“t pull that off.

I think it was in the rulebook. If the transport was open-tooped, you could jump back in with a consolidation move.

Rule was nixed because marines don't have open-topped transports.

Nope, but back then it didn't matter if it was open-topped. All that was required was for your consolidation to put the entire unit within 2" of an access hatch )or hull for open-topped) and you could embark immediately. And this was in the days of the rhino rush, so I frequently saw rhinos move forward, disembark, assault, wipe out that poor little target unit, consolidate, embark back into rhino.

BUT you can use your consolidation move to hide behind said land raider, at least partially (unless the assault was literally right next to it)
Thats what I always do. A trukk usually takes bullets better then my boyz do
