How current is the present one? When was it released? Do you think they'd redo it anytime soon?

The present codex is pretty current, I think 2007?

While the old legion guys like to talk smack on the new codex and whisper of how GW might be releasing a seperate Legion codex, I think its going to be a while before Chaos get revisited.

Also, contrary to popular belief, the csm codex is a good codex with a few different good builds available.

As much as I bash this codex, I won't because it is meaningless to whine now.
I have made a few neat builds if your intersted, are you looking for a themed army or a smacked together Black Legion army?

/shrug.
The CSM codex as it is, is quite boring.

I'm holding my breath until they redo it, or add onto it the Legion lists.

Otherwise, I'm looking toward other armies like Vanilla SM for my biker fix and Space Wolves as count as CSM cause there's more flavor to them.

Don't get me wrong, the CSM is competititive and strong, but the whole CSM is count as, if I'm gonna do count as, might as well go with what ever seems to wreck house at the moment or I feel better represents the army or models I'll be using.

I'm perfectly happy to use 2 Daemon Princes, 3 cult choices, 2 squads of Oblits.... but most of the armies I've seen used are pretty much that... or some other very close variation...

I was thinking of something based off the Night Lords maybe.
