"Ramming A Walker", p. 73 BRB states
"If a walker is rammed by a tank, it can choose to either brace itself for the impact...or it can attempt a 'Death or Glory!' attack in the same way as infantry (it cannot do this, however, if it is rammed in its rear arc."

Leaving aside the question of whether or not the Deff Rolla affects vehicles in general, does it affect a Walker that attempts 'Death or Glory!'?

It depends.

If you count Rams =Tank Shocks, then it causes 2D6 hits.

If you count Rams != Tank Shocks then it does 1D6 or no hits, depending on how you parse everything.

From the BGB "Ramming is a special type of tank shock move" So I think RAW it would cause those hits.

The other side of the debate boils down to this: if ramming and tank shock share the same rules, then you can't ever ram because the tank shock stops you 1" from a vehicle.

you bastards stop trying to derail my thread! You all need a hot steaming cup of the tenets of YMDC. I have read all 2,472 pages of previous Deff Rolla threads and never saw the question about Walkers' Death or Glory! Based on the Ork FAQ clearly a walker that chooses to Death or Glory can be a victim of a Deff Rolla and take 2d6 S10 hits. This is allowed both by the FAQ and the "Ramming a Walker" section which refers back to "Death or Glory!" under the "Tank Shock!" section (to refer back to previous debates "Tank Shock!," "Ramming," and "Ramming a Walker" are all the same type of category in the BRB). To say that a walker suffers 2d6 S10 hits after a Death or Glory! is not to conclude that the Deff Rolla affects vehicles in general.

It would seem to me that the wording suggests that the Death or Glory attack would come prior to being hit by the Deff Rolla, RAI, I doubt that they would go to the effort to FAQ this if the Walker was hit by 2d6 S10 attacks first....not much survives that!

No, because it instead takes the ram on it's rear armour.

Heh. I suppose it would be. But the question is still relevant because of walker squadrons. Its mates would have to suffer d6, 2d6, or no-d6 hits.
