Hello all, I would like to know what advice you all have for a 1000 point tournament following the standard rules.

My expected competition:
Brettonian's: 2 units of basic knights, Basic Hero, 2 squads of long bow men, Pegasus BSB, and a unit of Grail Knights
Very weak on magic defense, really good tactical player, but seems to rely to much on initial crunch. . .

Warriors of Chaos: 3 sets of Marauder Horsemen, 1 or 2 Chaos Knights, and some dogs
Really damn fast!!!, the player regularly wins the tourneys.

Vampire Counts: He is a new player but I am expecting Zombies and magic. . . Duh. . .

Other common opponents are, Dwarf gun line, good demon mix, or core heavy High Elves.

My usual list for 1k casual play
Caradryan
Mage level 2, Jewel of Dusk, Silver Wand
10 Sword Masters with full command, & Banner of Sorcery
19 Spear Man, with full command
2 Bolt Throwers

If you want to be really mean, take a Dragon Mage with Silver Wand. Most lists just won't be able to deal with all the magic that he tosses out, much less a T6, flying Terror Causers.

Madness and genius are separated by degrees of success.
