Are you an obsessed infantry commander? Do you want more troops than the enemy can deal with? Can this even be stopped?Who in their right mind would do this...

HQ

CCS 50pt

CCS 50pt

TROOPS

Infantry Platoon: 340pt
PCS HB, AC, or Melta
5xSquads HB, AC, or Melta in each

Infantry Platoon: 340pt

Infantry Platoon: 280pt
PCS HB, AC, or Melta
4xSquads HB, AC, or Melta in each

Infantry Platoon: 280pt
PCS HB, AC, or Melta
4xSquads HB, AC, or Melta in each

This leaves 100pt for more melta or some power weapons or whatever

This is blob at its finest(IMO), blob the squads together for 6 groups of 40-50 men (heavy weapons blobbed together assault elements blobbed together), then you have multiple command squads to give orders(10 orders total), FRFSRF over 100 shots in a 40 man blob(have fun rolling) lots of and
Watch opponents mouth drop when you attempt to fit all your models in your deployment zone

Nice gimmick, but it's probably one of the most fragile lists imaginable...

- Units would be so tightly packed together that template weapons would wreck havoc
- No serious anti-tank capability - one Leman Russ would walk all over this
- No mobility - you'd be foot slogging everywhere
- If you fight an assault army, if they make it through the wall of flashlights, they will steamroll the whole army

Personally, I think it would be a nightmare to buy and paint all those models, but that's just me...

If you do make it, I'd love to see a battle report.

300 models?
That's absolutely amazing.

using the 100 extra points, could replace 10 AC for Lascannons, keep a few squads un-blobbed with lascannons so they can target individually
speed is a problem, but it is the pure man power holding true to IG tactics, wave after wave of infantry

as far as models themselves go i still need to assemble about 150 and paint 200+, (I don't expect to be done until feb or march)

will add as many chimera possible for larger battles

If the army had something other than just lasguns, then I think this list could work well... but frankly, lasguns stop working on anything over T6... and barely work against things over T3. This army would be fine against footslogging horde armies. But one truk in an ork list, or a Nidzillia list would laugh at your cannon fodder.

Ironically enough, this list would probably be really hard to beat. The sheer number of doods on the board lends to the old adage "We have more Guard than you do ammunition." I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to take a CCS and an infantry squad, and park them on a victory point and just chain the "Incomming!!" order for +2 cover. That coupled with a nice spot of natural cover, like 4+, and you can sit there with some of the best saves in the game. AP has got nothing on your trenches. I think most enemy armies simply would not be prepared to handle a list with so many guys they needed to shoot. If you just turtled on points, and fit your guys with the best melee weapons you can find... you could probably survive long enough to be able to get 50-100 infantry on each of the victory points to contest every point, and capture the others. I doubt that your opponent would have enough troops choices that would survive the flashlights to be able to hold more points than you. Even MEQ lists have light troops. Take this list, and shoot down all your enemies' troops choices, then dig in... and hold the map.

Pray you never play Annihilation...

To those above who think vehicles are the answer, CORRECT
A heavy vehicle list would utterly trash this list as is now...

Having said that, Get some las cannons instead of Autocannons for sure, If they have any big dudes you'll want the extra ap anyways as most monstorus creatures have good armor saves. autocannons get more shots but you'll have enough it shouldn't matter anyways. Once having done that you may then proceed to hope that the enemy does not get a chance to tie up any big squads, especially if its with an asault vehicle... Oooh That really would suck wouldn't it? Or actually any thing large getting a chance to assault you...Oooh Yeah definetley kill anything big before it makes it to your line, last thing you need is a wraith lord/dreadnaught/C'tan/Carnifex/Defiler/(insert appropiate addition) getting into assault with units that can't get away or hurt it...

OR DO YOU?

You might be better off getting 200 men, gunning them up, and then seeing how many points you have left over. People keep saying how HWSs are trash, but in this kind of list you need a few, they let you apply firepower without using huge, unwieldy blob units for everything.

Eldar Corsairs: 4000 pts
Imperial Guard: 4000 pts

Corregidor 700 pts
Acontecimento 400 pts

I think you really need a Commisar for each blob.

Looks fun though

This would be one of the finest looking armies ever... Until it came up against a good SoB list that can drop 25+ Flame templates on the second turn. Then, it would be the best looking BBQ ever :S

Stick a bunch of auto-cannons in there; they may look rubbish on paper, but i can vouch for their effectiveness against any light mech/horde army

1500pts
