Beaten to the punch during lunch. Thanks for posting the link!

One MAJOR change: victory points totals for each category of game result are WAAAY easier to achieve. Looks like somebody at G.W. heard my frustrated screams at draws all the way from my FLGS.

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win. -- Sun-tzu
The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving on. -- Ulysses S. Grant

I like the change in Victory points, but I found the scenarios singularily uninspired.

The Wizard one looks fun, not so much if you are fighting a magic heavy Vamp or Chaos force. Fateweaver would be balls out on that one.

15000 - Tyranids
4000 - Skaven
1500 - Dark Eldar
2500 - Daemons
1500 - Necrons

Yeah, I was actually considering assembling some more VC for this one, not so sure now. I agree that the scenarios are bland, even more so than round 1, but there really isn't much that can be done with WHFB in terms of scenarios in tournament play.

That second mission looks interesting. The fact that spells go off before the miscast if you roll IF makes it crazy good. There's only a small chance of dieing on the miscast chart. Damn! The way the scenario is written, if you roll a miscast and IF, you do the spell and then roll on the chart. What if the roll on the chart is a '12'? Do you get two shots with the same spell? Crazy stuff here!

Big enough to have a fall down template. Yup, that's me!

Why do they say in Mission 1 & 2 to use the VP rules from the rulebook but not in Mission 3?

Upon first reading the scenarios, they seem somewhat soft. Upon further reflection, there does seem to be some bite in them.

Scenario #1: You could force your opponent's general to charge out from his battle line. Kinda like frenzy, and he is FORCED to challenge. This could be used to a big advantage.

Scenario #2: Miscast on double 1's and 2's. IF on double 5's and 6's. Imagine rolling 5 dice trying to get Gateway off lol! Yep, much bigger chance of IF but more importantly, much bigger chance to miscast! Bound spells become much more important.

Scenario #3: Straight up Pitched Battle. Love it.
