Ok I was moslty looking to see how wide they were?

The old standby was a 5" blast marker.

Just measuring the one plastic kit one I have (my other 14 are all foamcard/cardboard from templates - the old GW France ones).

5" 'diameter' (inasmuch as a pentagram has a radius) as it's 2 1/2" from centre to the outboard of the fins.
