I'm painting Kantor up as an Imperial Fist (Vladimir Pugh) but can't find anything that says what colour to do a chapter master's shoulder pad trims. As the Imp Fists are strictly codex I want to do it right (Crimson Fists don't have codex shoulder pad trims so can't use Kantor as an example).

Following the Codex it can't be white/gold/red/green/black/orange/purple/grey/blue as those denote a certain company; as far as I can tell, by using the Ultramarines honour guard as an example, they should be the same colour as the rest of the armour, and so should be yellow in this case. Anyone know any better?

I think since the chapter master has some control over the coloring, he may choose his heraldry/colors freely.

Would agree with all yellow. Lysander as captain of the 1st is also painted so.

I's say just do them yellow, yea. Seems to be the safest bet. Then again, Calgar's shoulder trim is Gold, which is a UM company colour, so I suppose whatever you see as most appealing would work.

Personally though, I'd go yellow for the scheme - Just looks better, makes him look more 'Universal'.

Well the decorative bit on the shoulder pictured below always seems to be painted Gold, regardless of the company, which only makes things more confusing.

Gold shouldnt be a problem. Heraldry: Gold = yellow

Maybe put the focus on the details ( eagles, laurels,...) and the shoulderpad rims become unimportant?

Well the photo doesn't do it justice, but here he is with yellow trim:
