I'm forming a 2000 point list and I'm not sure which unit i should take. It's for a tourney with lots of mech armies.

HQ:

2 Meks w/ KFF -- 170


Troops:

20 Boyz w/ PK Nob -- 155

20 Boyz w/ Pk Nob -- 155

20 Boyz w/ PK Nob & 2 Rokkits --175

12 Boyz w/ PK Nob in a Trukk -- 142

Deff Dread w/ Scorcha and extra CCW -- 95

Deff Dread w/ Scorcha and extra CCW -- 95

Elite:

12 Tankbustas w/ 2 Tank hammers and 2 bomb squigs -- 190

4 Meganobz w/ 2 Kombi weapons
Battle Wagon Transport w/ Armor plates and red paint -- 280

Heavy:

Looted Wagon -- 40
(Transport for Tankbustas)

3 Killa Kans w/ 2 Rokkits and 1 scorcha -- 140

I have about 221 points and i'm wondering if i get lootas, deff koptas and flush some units out, snikrot, or a small unit of nobz.

The army will be a two prong attack with one mek with the walkers and one with the vehicles.

You get more MANZ in for the Battlewagon. Thats what i would do. This way you KNOW that that one unit can take out anything in the game. Just my 2 cents.

Oh yeah sorry for the double post but....Run a deff rolla on the BW as well. Its amazing...1d6 STR 10 hits on the unti you "tank shock". Thats to awesome to not use.

First I must say HOORAY TANKBUSTAS! As for your extra unit, why not just max out your footsloggin boyz sqauds (should be 162 points for 9 more to each squad) then use 50 of your remaining 59 points to give each of your meks a PK. Also, your boyz in a trukk, you actually have 1 extra model in there. You can only take 11 boyz with a nob in a trukk so that gives you 6 more points. With your last 15 points give each footsloggin nob leading boyz a bosspole that way leadership probably won't be a problem ever. That maxes all your points. Hope this helps and good luck at the tourny.

Considering you face against a lot of mech armies you haven't got a lot of ranged anti mech. Its all power klaws, so your hoping to get up close.

Lootas are your friend against mech

You have two transports, I would pop the tank bustas and then blow them away - 6+ armour save in the open won't keep them alive long. Then pop the meganobz, they have slow and purposeful so they will be slow. Now those two threats have been taken care of target the killa kans and deff dreads, kans will go down easier as in squadrons and obivously weaker and then the dreads. You only now have power klaws, and mass power klaws of the meganobz are now foot slogging...thats how I would deal with this list.

To improve it I would drop the meganobz & tank bustas, add two units of lootas for ranged anti tank and get three more kans. That way you can make a kan wall and protect each boyz mob, plus if your kanz are within 6" of the big mek they get a 4+ cover save, much better than a poxy 5+ for the boyz, which now will get a 4+ cover save from the kans

Oh, drop the trukk as well. For 35 points you can buy 6 boyz which gives you nearly another 20 model mob.

With the tweaked list you have a massive green wave, nothing to target to proritise as such and everything gets a 4+ cover save.
