How do you determine what units are affected by Null Zone for the rest of the turn? Do you simply check to see which units are within 24" of the Libby when the power is cast or does the Libby have a bubble around him (that moves as he does) that causes units to reroll successful saves?

As a side note, what happens to a unit in a vehicle inside the 24" bubble?

There is a bubble that moves as he moves. I'm not sure what happens to vehicles but if nothing's mentioned about them, then nothing happens

It's a bubble. When it comes time for a unit to take invulnerable saves, measure to the Libby. If he's within 24" of the unit, they have a problem.

Wow, this went really well compared to the one that just happened on 40kO.

Vehicles themselves will probably not be affected, as they generally do not have invulnerable saves. The occupants will have to re-roll any invulnerable saves though, despite the FAQ ruling, because of the specific nature of this power.

Only one does to my knowledge (Bjorn the Fell-Handed), and it actually doesn't even work, as a model can only take Invulnerable Saves against Wounds. :(

See my FAQ for how to fix it (shameless plug)

Yeah... that "debate" over there did not go well. It's interesting though, as the consensus there seems to be that it doesn't work on embarked units (because of the FAQ), but here it seems that people say it does. I think it does because it doesn't actually target anything but simply says all units within the radius.

I agree (as someone who takes a libby with null zone). Any unit within 24" has to re-roll successful invuln saves. Period. \

This also applies to units in vehicles, but they are protected by the vehicle, so any wounds targeted at the unit would hit the vehicle first.

And yes, its a bubble of annoyance (to deamons especially) that moves with the librarian.

And what was the beef (the "debate") over at 40ko about?

Cheers

Basically they were saying units inside transports are immune to Pyschic abilities (because the FAQ says that you cannot target a unit in a transport unless you are also in it). The only time this is really an issue is when you explode a transport with Warlocks/Clowns in it and they have to take saves from the explosion.

Yeah, then it works perfectly.
You can't target units inside transports? -> Null Field doesn't require a target, it's simply a conditional modifier.
Transport explodes and units take wounds/invul saves? -> No problem, THE TRANSPORT ASPLODE, no one is embarked anymore. lol

However, the wounds are suffered and resolved before the survivors are disembarked, so it's a little more murky. Personally, I think they still have to do the reroll, as it never says you declare a target, just every unit within the radius. However, it's not something I wouldn't be willing to 4+ on the very rare occasion that it comes up.
