First off, thanks to everyone for the really useful input in the tactic forum when I asked for help on WoC.

Here is the list I have put together that fits the theme I was shooting for of all 4 powers of chaos represented in an all mounted chaos warband. Some people had mentioned that taking 4 units of Knights is considered cheesy by some, so I hope I have mitigated it a bit by making some concessions to fit the theme. I would appreciate any C&C as well as opinions on comp.

Also, one question, since the jugger is movement 7 and the knights are movement 8, can they go in the same unit since they are frenzied? Or will they end up moving at different speeds?

Thanks!

Heros:

Exalted Hero, MoK, Jugger, Chaos Runesword

Sorcerer of Slanesh, Steed, Lv2, Dispell, MoS

Sorcerer of Tzentch, Steed, Lv2, Dispell, MoT

Sorcerer of Nurgle, Steed, Lv2, Dispell, MoN

Core:

4 units of 5 warhounds

Marauder Horsemen, Light armor, flails, MoS

Marauder Horsemen, Light armor, flails, MoK

Marauder Horsemen, light armor, flails, MoN

Marauder Horsemen, light armor, flails, MoT

Special:

Knights, Musician, MoK

Knights, Musician, MoN

Knights, Musician, MoT

Knights, Musician, MoS

So, the army would be small (and cheap!), really fun to paint and model and from what i have been told so far, should play pretty decent on the table top. I threw marks on the marauders even though it seems points inefficient to hopefully mitigate any comp issues and show that the army is built around a pretty obvious theme.

So all opinions welcome. I have about 13 points left and was thinking of using them for musicians in two squads of Horsemen.

Awesome theme dude. Awesome, awesome theme

Are the 4 packs of dogs part of the theme? I'd really like to grind 2 packs up to get the points to give your sorcerers some potent-yet-characterful magic items, and I think at least a one or two of your knights deserve standards. I'd also like to see musicians on all the horsemen, along with some differentiation in weapons to better suit their marks - flails for khorne & nurgle, throwing axes for tizz, maybe spears & throwing spears (my fav combo) for slaanesh?

I'll give it some thought tomorrow, but mad porps already.

If you put your Juggy in your unit of Knights, your Knights will move at 7".

@ Aurog - They would anyway, being barded steeds. The horsemen are the ones who would be slowed down by having the tank with them.

@ Reec - Here's what I scribbled down last night before bed:

H: Exalted - MoK, sword of might, favor, shield, jugger = 205
H: Sorcerer - MoT, power familiar, scroll, steed = 206
H: Sorcerer - MoN, puppet, steed = 191
H: Sorcerer - MoS, spell familiar, scroll, steed = 181

C: 5 Horsemen - MoK, musician, flails, light armor = 116
C: 5 Horsemen - MoN, musician, flails, light armor = 116
C: 5 Horsemen - MoT, musician, throwing axes, light armor = 106
C: 5 Horsemen - MoS, musician, flails, light armor = 96
C: 5 Warhounds = 30
C: 5 Warhounds = 30

S: 5 Knights - MoN, standard, musician = 260
S: 5 Knights - MoT, standard, musician = 250
S: 5 Knights - MoK, musician = 240
S: 5 Knights - MoS, musician = 220

TOTAL: 2247

Thinking behind the units:

Exalted > I think cheaper is better, and with so many attaks and great stats already the magical s6 attaks should get him by just fine. Shield for 0+, favor cause I had 5 points.

Sorcerers > The puppet seems pretty mandatory, especially with so many casters tossing 3 dice into things. Power familiar lets tizz-man pump more dice into his harder to get off spells (nice with +1 on top of that). Spell familiar means pinky has a better chance of getting the slaanesh spells that are useful against ItP armies too

Horsemen > Didn't change much, just gave t.axes to the tizz boys as their mark seems the least geared toward getting stuck in. I had wanted to give spears & spears to slaanesh for flavor, but being able to charge small fear-causing units and flail them to bitz seems to be their aggro role (their more passive role being baiting and such).

Warhounds > Needed points, and 20 dogs seems a bit much in an army of 44 other cavalry models ... 2x 5 should get you by, with all those fast cav to help out with utility work too.

Knights > Ended up giving standards to the knights with marks geared toward survival but not necessarily combat superpower. I also think the tizz and nurgle banners will be the most fun to convert Kr0n doesn't need a banner, especially if the jugger is running with them, and slaanesh, well, I had originally given them the rapturous standard for fluff and lockdown! capability, but decided to keep them cheap (which is the best thing going for slaanesh knights, IMO).

Thanks for the great input!

Yeah, I think the army will look sweet as it will all have different colors and such. Plus it will be cheap and easy to transport.

I wanted to mix up the weapons on the marauders, I think I will go with your suggestions there.

The Jugger being better save and cheaper is a good idea.

I will look at those magic items, I don't know them all too well, but that looks good so far. I usually only have 2 dispell scrolls with my wood elves and that seems to be enough except for when I play Tzentch daemon armies, which 10 wouldn't be enough.

Thanks for the input, I think I am going to use pretty much all of those suggestions.

Glad to help Reec

On the horsemen, spears & spears is still a nice flexible weapon loadout for one of them if you want more variety model-wise, and also gives a tidbit of extra shooting. I figure they'd work well with either slaanesh or nurgle, though both have their benefits in combat as well.
