I like to run a LR (of differing varieties) with TH/SS Termies at 2000 points. However, I've seen several people state that if you're going to use a LR at all, then bring two so it doesn't get focus-fired down immediately. Do most people think this is true?

Yes. As a mechdar player, I dismiss 1 Raider as an easy kill, prioritize 2, and worry a lot about 3 or more.

In 2K, you might as well take 3. Take anything to the max to dilute your opponent's choices to deal with it.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

As a secondary question, if 2+ LRs are desirable, what should go in the second one? More Termies?

I concur. 1 is just giving up a 250pt unit, while 2 increases both their combat life and usefulness to you. 3+ can be extremely one-sided yet fun in its own why.

I tend to run a tri-Raider list at 1500pts.

Pat that askala, O-H-I hate this stupid state

I ran two LRs in a tourney this weekend and they performed great. Granted i play chaos but i made mince meat out of my opponents with these guys. If I would have had an extra seventy points i would have ran three but opted for the defiler instead which ruled also. I ran my LRs with nothing in them as my guys are a shooty army anyways.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!
