Hi everyone, I am currently playing in a 500 pts tournament and one of my opponents has Ghazghkull, I was wondering what in the Eldar Army would be useful against him?

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

I would use Banshees with Doom, with some Dark Reapers as fire support.

No no no. Even doomed banshees are wounding on 6s. That's not enough to bring him down. And Dark Reapers are s5 ap3. Not useful against a 2+ save dude. You're better off with Scatter Lasers, if you're not going ap1 or 2, go for volume, not quality. What you really need is to hit him with 8 Fire Dragons. Preferably in a transport. That way, you can wait for an opportunity where he isn't on his unstoppable WAAGH and then nuke him down. 8 shots with 3+2+ has a better chance than banshees with 4+ 6+ (rerollable). Also, bright lances and running away can knock him down some wounds in a pinch.

Jesus Ghaz in a 500pt game?
Thats borderline unfair. Basically thats Ghaz, a mob of 22 and a mob of 23. No nobz or upgrades. So lose a few boys, and you got 2 20ish mobs with nobz, and Ghaz.

If I were you, Id try to either A. tie him in combat with cheapies (do Eldar even have cheapies?!) or take ALOT of shooty weapons. Youll need alot of firepower to take out his boyz. Easy enough as they pretty much wont get armor saves.
The problem here is, you might be getting set up for a trap. Focus too much on Ghaz, and you forget about the 40ish boyz wanting Eldar trophies. Or focus to much on the boyz and not have a way to take out the big man.
I say move, and fast. Ghaz is slow slow slow. I dont know the Eldar weapons and such, but if you can keep out of CC you should be able to whittle him down. Granted hes going to be shooting at you, but with a BS of 2 I wouldnt worry to much. So I say kill the boyz off with volume, and either ware Ghaz out, or just play keep away until the match is over
