Has anyone seen any good conversions based on Calgar in his Armour of Antilochus? I think its an awesome model, but is it too epic and recognisable to use as a base for a conversion?

What about Lysander? Just fix it up a little bit with Green Stuff to make it look like a different person, it's still Imperial Fists so it would have all the markings.

years ago int he white dwarf that talked about the crimson fists and rynn city they showed a gread way to make chapter master look epic without using a ton of bitz. If you take a normal marine or in this case termi legs and torsoe I would show the face then shave off the knee pads and use small bretonian shields shaved down in place. then give him a long thunder hammer you could make a stands out in your face model, or go easy and use lysander

Seconding the Lysander notion. He gets used for conversions fairly often, and is a fantastic model.

I've been working this idea in my head about cleaning up Calgar and painting him in a different scheme, w/o the Ultra paraphernalia. I have a UM painted Calgar, but no honour guard. But the only way to get honour guard is to pickup a calgar. I wish they'd bring back bitz order.
