put 'dakka dakka' into google search engine, got the dakka site link, opened it and whilst it was opening got whisked to this redirection site:

Just wondering if you've been hijacked somehow (I got here by using the 'sub-link' for HBMC under the main returned result).

As mentioned in PM to MGS, this is most likely spyware on his web browser. Google link results getting swapped out for advertising sites is a common virus/spyware tactic, and if you see these sorts of things then you need to stop doing any online banking and get your machine checked out.

Just tried it then as well, stays Dakka for a couple of second then goes to that other site
Edit: removed link incase what Lego said is what has actually happened.

The link itself has an extra part on the front of it that isn't Dakka, and looks like this.

www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=1&ved=0CAgQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dakkadakka.com%2Fdakkaforum%2Fforums%2Flist.page&rct=j&q=dakka+dakka&ei=pOzeSumPLpS8sgPQxr3YDw&usg=AFQjCNEmwb5aP289Audn7qg56iSKWGBoZQ

I don't think it's malicious though, my anit-viurs doesn't let me use any links that are a threat (but then again it could probably not be getting the redirect ), but I'm running a scan anyway right now so we'll know soon. Just looks like someone leaching off the popularity of someone else to me.

The other alternative is it is just a hiccup in google's algorithm which should sort itself out soon. I dont get any such thing in the search results on a couple of machines I tested.

Well I've had a malignant bit of programming on my computer before, at home I got hit by the zlob.redirector, but that was random on what it would redirect in google, this only affects the dakka dakka choice.

Alright, it doesn't look like they knew what they were doing when they made it. It doesn't appear to be bad after a virus scan lasting over an hour (still going, but past the OS). The links themselves on the site are obviously viruses though. An example being result one: "1.Dakka Dakka - Looking for Dakka Dakka? Get more information now" left a nice link under it called "clik-me.com"

I liked number four the best though.
"4. Looking for dakka dakka? Your Computer might be in dangerous! - If you want to find "#keyword#" better find some time and check your computer's internet security now. Your computer might be in risk! FREE ONLNE SECURITY SCAN." Leaving a link as dakka+dakka.com. The online security scan ones are always kind of funny. It's always so obvious that they are a virus. But, people still fall for them.

Basically their incompitance seemingly made them harmless. I still wouldn't recomend clicking on it though, but hopefully Google fixes it soon.

Maybe there should be a notice made about it somewhere on the site, until it's fixed up, incase someone else comes across this redirection and accidentally clicks on one of the links?

It looks like an scumware company has found a way to exploit google in some way. I've finally been able to replicate this and will look into it in case there is anything I can do.

I have the same problem too. Google redirected me to Serafinds.com.

What about letting Google know? If that's even possible.

Also avoid the site, they might figure out how to update it and make it a threat itself rather than having the links on it as obvious threats.

Yep it's gone, the result for "dakka dakka" no longer redirects.
