I'm terrible with blow-by-blow replays, but I'll go through what worked & didn't for the Orks.
Worked:
Deffkoptas! Turbo's on the scout move, forward on the first move & popped two transports turn 1. One unit inside ran off the board. I assaulted with them and they got wiped. Next time I'll skip the buzzsaw & just stand off & fire at max range.
Bikes. Ran them as a leading screen and they did exactly what they are supposed to do - shoot stuff, provide a screen, and keep him busy.
Ghazz in a trukk: I assumed that the trukk would get popped right away and it did, but 1 flat-out move got me close enough I could Waaagh from there and get into hth by turn 3, which was the same time 2 mobs of boys made it. Wasn't so pretty for him after that.
Didn't work:
Looted wagons. Got several shots in before one got a weapon destroyed, but they always seem to scatter to the point of being useless. They are out in favor of trying lootas in a battlewagon for next game.
Terrain was so cramped that 1 entire mob never got into hth, but I still think 3 is good.
Jury is still out on the meganobz. They work well, even with slow & purposeful, but it's mostly because of Ghazz's 2-turn waaagh. You could also get some bad rolls for the base movement and end up doing a whole lot of nothing. It worked last night, and they lay out a lot of hurt, but I also managed to roll a lot of 1's :( Just didn't matter for him by then.
